Martin Engelke was born in Germany and grew up in the small university town of Tübingen. His life’s journey led him to the cities of Kiel (Germany), Leipzig (Germany), Glasgow (UK), Zurich (Switzerland), Ann Arbor (Michigan), Normal (Illinois), and now Knoxville, Tennessee. In his free time, he enjoys running, bicycling, and swimming. He tries to spend as much vacation time as possible at/on the ocean. He is a basketball fan (Go Blue!) and watches the America’s Cup (Sailing) whenever there is a regatta.
